***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** DOMESTIC SERVICES- Effective 2359 hrs on Sunday 16th August, All intending travelers on Domestic flights, under the PNG National Pandemic Act 2020 Measure No.3, are no longer required to obtain Controller's prior approval to travel, however reason for travel must be within the six approved categories;- (i) students returning to their educational institute(one-way travel), (ii) persons returning to their place of residence(one-way travel), (iii) persons traveling for essential services, (iv) persons traveling for essential exempted business travel, (v) persons seeking medical assistance and medivac and (vi)persons traveling for emergency reasons such as but not limited to the repatriation of deceased persons. All travellers must still complete and present the Air Passenger Travel Form(APTF) at the time of check-in. No person is permitted to board an aircraft for PNG unless (a) they have been tested for COVID19 within 14 days period prior boarding an aircraft' and (b) have returned a result indicating they do not have detectable levels of COVID-19. 2. Only real time Reserve Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction tests shall be accepted. Contact the Call Centre on 1803444 or any Air Niugini Sales Office or Travel Agent for assistance. All completed Domestic Airline Travel Passenger forms are to be submitted upon check-in.
