In August 2009, Air Niugini launched a foundation membership drive for Destinations, Papua New Guinea’s first-ever frequent flyer program.

Since then, thousands of our loyal customers have joined the program and in 2010 they will begin to realize the benefits of membership. The Destinations Loyalty Program has been extremely well received by our customers and we have had very positive feedback on many features of the program. 

The Destinations Loyalty card itself with its uniquely Papua New Guinea design has drawn many favourable comments. In 2010 we will see Gold and Silver variants of the card for our   Executive Club members.  

Another popular feature of Air Niugini’s loyalty program is that we offer family membership. That means the whole family can pool their points to obtain a valid reward flight for any nominated member of that family.

Family membership is a very unique feature of Destinations. The decision to include family memberships was the result of our understanding of the Papua New Guinea market – knowing that the family unit plays a vital and integral part of PNG society.

In 2010 Air Niugini will provide the additional benefit of being able to earn points with our program partners. Just imagine earnings points not only when you fly... but also when you shop, stay in a hotel, pay a telephone or Internet account. It is our objective and commitment to explore as many opportunities as possible for Destinations Loyalty Program members to earn points.

The involvement of our partners and the massive response we have had from the travelling public  means that we are now in a position to extend our offer of free membership and no joining fees throughout 2010.
